Our mathematics competition brought pupils together to tackle questions and share their answers. With a teacher holding the microphone and classmates close by, each participant had a moment to step forward and have a go.
The challenge was a chance to bring classroom practice into a different setting. Looking carefully at a question, thinking through an approach, and explaining an answer are skills that grow through use.
Certificates and a group celebration added to the occasion. We are proud of the pupils who took part and grateful to the teachers who encouraged them. There is something worth celebrating in the willingness to try a difficult question.
